Mr. Brown

Physical Education

Hello! I’m Johnathon Scott Brown, and I’m thrilled to be part of the Woodland Public Schools community as a Physical Education teacher. With four years of experience at Woodland, I also have the privilege of serving as the Head Coach for both the High School and Junior High Boys Basketball teams, as well as an Assistant Coach for the High School and Junior High Boys Football teams.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Technology from Rogers State University and an Associate’s degree in Applied Science in Engineering and Industrial Technology from Northern Oklahoma College. My background allows me to bring a unique perspective to my teaching and coaching, emphasizing not only physical skills but also teamwork, discipline, and resilience.

Coaching is my passion, and I strive to create a positive, inclusive environment for all my athletes, where they can grow and develop both as players and individuals. I believe in fostering a love for sports and fitness that will last a lifetime.

In my free time, I enjoy running my snow cone business, which has been a fun and rewarding hobby. I also love spending quality time with my family, whether we're out running, playing sports, or just enjoying each other’s company.

I’m looking forward to another exciting year filled with growth, competition, and fun! Please feel free to reach out to me at sbrown@woodland.k12.ok.us if you have any questions or want to discuss ways we can support our young athletes together.
