Welcome to Biology!
Typically taken in the sophomore year, this class focuses on the biological process of ourselves and our world.
Within the first semester you will learn about cell biology, photosynthesis and respiration, and genetics. Learning these processes helps you understand more general biological processes and builds scientifically literacy.
During the second semester, things get a little heavy as we start discussing ecology, climate, and human impact on the natural world. But don’t worry! While we do learn about lots of ways humans have hurt our environment and, in turn, ourselves, we also learn about all the ways we are now helping and undoing our prior damages!
Useful items for this class include a 3-ring binder, looseleaf paper, writing utensils, and colored pencils.
